The day has finally arrived, Paul and I are getting married!  We decided to include this note in our wedding invitations to better introduce ourselves to friends and family.

How did this all start?  Paul and I first met while we were both attending Arizona State University and started dating in the Fall of 1998.  Knowing that we both loved each other and enjoyed being together, Paul proposed to me on October 30th, 1999.  It was the most beautiful and heartfelt proposal ever!

Paul is originally from Minot, North Dakota.  His parents are Westlie and Martha Carlson.  Paul's younger sister, Mary Gunderson, is currently residing in La Crescent, Minnesota and his younger brother, Michael, is attending college in Wahpeton, North Dakota.  From what I have heard, it sounds like he has a great family and I know he loves them all tremendously!  Paul is working on his Ph.D. in Accounting Information Systems at Arizona State University.  He is in the fourth year of his Ph.D. program and hopes to graduate in May of 2001.  I know he is looking forward to becoming a college professor.

My parents are Martin and Sharon Guzman and I have six sisters and a brother.  I was raised in Mesa, Arizona by my mom.  I am very grateful that I had such a caring and supportive family growing up!  In May 1999, I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems.  Currently, I am working at Intel in Chandler, Arizona, where we manufacture our world famous microprocessors.  Now, my life will take yet another new path by joining Paul in marriage and I look forward to what lies ahead for both of us.

We will continue to live in Mesa until Paul finishes his Ph.D.  Our new address, phone number, and e-mail addresses are below.  Paul moved into our new apartment a few weeks early and I will join him in the new apartment after the wedding.  I cannot wait!

I hope you will be able to join us for our wedding and reception.  Both the wedding and reception will be held at Grace Community Church in Tempe, Arizona on February 26th, 2000 starting at one o'clock in the afternoon.  Our reception will consist of a light lunch, cake, and punch.  We hope to see you there!

Love,
Maria and Paul
