First Trimester (to 12 weeks)
July 21st, 2003 (4 weeks along): While serving a short-term church mission trip in Turkey, my team leader and I learned how to say “pregnancy test” in Turkish. The test was NOT for my leader. It was for me…I AM PREGNANT :) ! I am not joking! I found out while on the trip and emailed Paul the good news. He was quite happy and excited and said “I knew you were going to make this trip memorable, but I didn’t think you would go this far!” Paul, always joking :) It was funny, all of my Turkish friends who found out while we were there said “It’s now a Turkish baby!” My Turkey team was so happy for me. It is crazy how much God loves and blesses you!
August 12th, 2003 (7 weeks): Today was my first official appointment with my doctor, Dr. Christine McClusky recommended by my neighbor (http://www.azmomdocs.com/). The doctor did a physical check of me and said "Yup, you're pregnant." Now, I see her every four weeks.
September 2nd, 2003 (10 weeks): Today, Paul and I heard our baby’s heartbeat for the first time, about 140 bpm which is average. WOW! Dr. McClusky estimated my due date as April 1st, 2004. It figures to have Paul's baby on April Fools :)
